Rawhide Treats

1 rolled rawhide chew
beef stick or peanut butter or a cheese spread

 

Soak the rawhide in water and unroll.  Roll it back around a beef stick or spread the peanut butter or cheese and roll it back up and tie with string.  When the rawhide is dry, remove the string and serve.
(avoid using ingredients that require refrigeration.) **
 

 
Liver Brownies

1 1/2 cup wheat germ
1 lb of liver
1 1/2 cup of corn meal
3 eggs

Mix all the ingredients together.  Put in a well greased brownie pan and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.   Refrigerate.

Homemade Frosty Paws

1 jar of baby food meat
32 oz of yogurt vanilla flavor
2 tablespoons honey


Mix all the ingredients together. Pour into paper cups (dixie type) cover and freeze.


 
Use the recipes at your own risk,  only you know your dogs and what they are sensitive to.  If a ingredient is new to the diet such as peanut butter watch for any reactions before offering more.  Try to use whole grain flours.  Wheat and Corn can be replaced with Rice flour or Buckwheat flour.  ** Always observe your dog when feeding a rawhide treat.   I throw them away when they are chewed small enough to swallow.  Enjoy!
